Elite Compact uPVC Trunking
SWINDON COLLEGE
Marco, the UK’s largest manufacturer of Steel Wire Cable Tray, and uPVC Cable Management Company, has supplied 350 lengths of uPVC Elite Compact Trunking as part of a £10million extension at New College in Swindon.
Avon Combined Electrical Services Bristol is carrying out M&E works at the site which is set to increase the college’s capacity by 35 per cent once complete. Main contractor Morgan Sindall is managing the wider scheme which is set for completion in September this year, ready for the new academic year.
The Elite Trunking system is fast becoming a preferred choice for contractors involved in education schemes since the range was launched last year.
Steve Davies, Business Development Manager at Marco Cable Management said: “The clean and modern aesthetic look of Elite, combined with its practical appeal, has made this range a real hit with contractors. This is the latest in a long list of education schemes that have been specified with Elite in the South East region during the past four months.”
The College, which caters for approximately 3,000 16 to 18-year-olds and a further 10,000 adults and business learners, is situated on New College Walk in Swindon. The building will provide much-needed space for student services on the ground floor, with business and enterprise on the first floor, science, technology, engineering and maths on the second floor and an e-leaning centre on the third level.
Steve added: “This is a great state-of-the-art education facility and we’re really pleased to see our Elite product specified throughout this new building.”
